Love My God, My Family, My Country and My Chevy's
The engine is a 57 283. I am installing larger valves, port match with minor bowl work,Edelbrock C4B with Holly 600 carb, 204/209 duration @.050 and 443/454 lift cam, .020 over flat top pistons, Mallory ignition and aluminum water pump. I will be keeping the stock 3.55 rear gears for now. The trans. will be replaced with a TH700R4. Front suspension will be upgraded with power disc brakes and rack and pinion steering. The interior will be fitted with Gray leather seats (front and rear) from a 96 Park Avanue. New carpet and door panels. Console (modified) form a 75 Z28 and under dash A/C. LED park/tail lights as well as brake and backup lights. I haven't decided on the sound system yet.I will post pictures of my progress as time goes on.
This is my first Tri-5 in process of Full frame off Restification. Right side has minor scratch down lowInterior looks pretty good but will have seats from a 96 Park Avenue. The only rust through on the whole car is in the right front inner rocker. Have new one comming. These seats are in great condition but the new ones are greater.Very little rust. Just a few spots of surface rust.Bumpers in near show condition. Stainless has only a few small dents. All pot metal is pitted but will be replaced.Ready---Set---GOStarting from here. Front cap removed. Looks pretty good here.Pulled the 283 and have started rebuild.Checking for rust and body damage. Some of both here. This is into the metal so it must go.
My Favorite Movie Star.
My second Hobby. Our Armed Forces at work. US Marines, 1st to fight. All give SOME. Some give ALL. Pray for their safe return.
I will start this project at some point. Hopefully the next 2 years. My parents had a 48 like this when I was a youngster.

yeah i was thinking in 38 more years, my cay might get the same look from people as yours does. Because there will be few of them around. My Grandpa gave me this car, and I used to ride in it when I was a infant. Just like a classic, I still have some minor restoring that I need to do
