This is my 1989 Conquest. I've had it now for about a year & a half now. These pics are from when I just got it painted. The car still looks the same, I just did a few things to it as far as how she runs. I will update with motor pics in a few days. This car used to be black & I painted it silver. Black is too hard to keep clean.

I did all the trimmings in black to make it look meaner though.

There is really not so much motor work done yet. But its moving along.

For now its basically stock. Just had small external stuff done, such as vaccume elimination, custom 2" intercooler & turbo piping, HKS Super Sequential BOV, Greddy turbo timer, 1st gen Eclipse GSX K&N intake setup w/ 1gen Eclipse GSX mass air flow meter, custom 3" intake pipe, full custom 2.25" exhaust setup from turbo back - eliminated cats, & timing was done.

Gauges & everything interior wise is still stock. Music setup is a 12" sub with 4 6.5" 3way speakers for mids & highs. Total power is small time just about 1000watts, which is good enough just for me. Most of the time volume is low anyway, I hardly crank it.

Not sure what I will do next, debating on an upgrading the turbo or build the bottom end first or get a multiport injection setup. I definitely am going with the head, intake manifold, & exhaust porting. With ARP head studs & jet valve elimination. Also planning on getting an amplified ignition system, just not sure which one to go with yet.

The car is lowered about an inch & a half from stock.

The rim set up is staggered so its hard to find rims for this car.

The rims are polished aluminum. I was supposed to get the painted portions of the rims powder coated black, but the only shop able to do it locally shut down so I've just haven't had time to send the rims away. Especially that the car is a daily driver.

The rubbers are Cooper Xeon Z Rated all season perfomance tire.

Thats it for now, next time I update I'll have pics of my motor & hopefully some other mods whatever they may be. Later, thanks for stopping in.

i have a silver 87, and boy does yours look much better than mine. i would stick with the tbi and upgrade from there. mpi would free up a ton of horses, but with it being you dd, you would lose it for a long time. just my .02

Hi-
Great car. I am a past owner of an 89 TSi and I am desperately looking to purchse another one. I tried teh main sites and found nothing. Do you know of anyone or any sites that I can check? I live in NJ but if teh deal is worth it, distance is not a deal breaker. I appreciate any help you can offer....I can remember fondly the days of going 150mph and leaving Stangs in the dust.....Thank you - Jed
