11-14-08(subs) 11-22-08 (amps) : I made my next purchase to go forth with the audio in my car.... 4-10" Memphis M3's dual 4ohm VC.... When I get the $$ I WANT to get another Alpine PDX 1.1000 amp and run a amp on a pair each at 4 ohm..the amp puts out 1000 watts at 4 ohm and 2 ohm ..which is great! I PLANNED on going ALL Alpine Type-R..but looking through ebay and other sites..I just seen WAY TOO MANY alpine type R subs that were torn up And I dont want to spend the $ for Type-X's.....I want something that can handle a beating ..seems like the type R's dont hold up that well shockingly............Ive NEVER used 10's so this will be a new experience for me..but apparently they get really deep which is good for me cos thats how I like my bass.
4 10" Memphis M3's I just have to design an enclosure that will be worthy now.. These things weigh 18 lbs each..TANKS

This is how it looked when I bought it Dirty McShitty!!!! Painted the dirty silver "metallic black" and it looks pretty good now (Pic soon)..I had it in my posession for about 10 minutes before I broke out the Cleaner and sand paper and went at gettin this thing lookin nice..
Hmm..so I guess I'll be selling this amp before I used it too..anyone interested let me know.
I was on ebay looking at Stinger digital voltage displays..and for no reason what so ever decided to see what the prices of the ///Alpine PDX 1.1000 amps were doing..and caught this one on auction with less than a minute and a half left to go..bidding was up to $280 ..I read through the auction really quick to make sure everything was cool...and bid up to $340...45 seconds later I won the amp for $320...Great considering I planned on paying at the bare minimum..$400 for a new one. I'm happy though.. It will be a playmate for my PDX 4.100 ..TWINS!! (sold 4.100 buying another 2.150)
Below.....The JL Audio XR653 3 Way crossovers I got to run my front stage.. (8" Midbass, 5 1/4 Alpine DDDRIVE Midrange and Alpine DDDRIVE tweets.. a pair of 6 1/2 Alpine DDDrive componenet just went on ebay used ..for $240+ so they are still VERY valued ... mainly because the tweeters are incredible.
Today I Got my Stinger Blue Digital Voltage meter which will be mounted where the factory ash tray was..Along with my Epicenter control knob + a toggle switch or 2.
