My Alpine CD changers are mounted on a simple changer rack which I have mounted between the center console and the back seat ..on the floor..it holds both Alpine 12 disk changers firmly but is not attatched to the car with any screws, velcro, tape, or gum ..simple gravity works fine. The changers are inset 3/4" in the panel not screwed down..I hate mounting brackets..so tacky to look at. The panel was painted with 3M Rubberized Undercoating I used the 3M because it dries DRY to the touch..not sticky like most others.

I think I'm gonna fiberglass the changer holder because I like the area theyre mounted in..But the rubberized & painted wood seriously needs to be upgraded ..even though it looks good...it dont look good enough to please me. I think I want to mold it to the rear of the center console and make it look factory..but obviously not a factory option..lol

Audio control Epicenter Will be going in. I think the newly bought Memphis subs are worthy

I will take care of the newly updated system when the time comes....solos & Both Memphis amps (pictured) are sold..and I'm rollin with absolutely no music at all..

_____ SOON TO BE UPDATED old system of 2007-you will be missed _____
I never got around to finishing this install sorry about the incompleteness of everything..

Memph is ST-1500D and a Memphis ST-300/4

2 15" Kicker Solobaric L7's in a 6.25 cubic ft enclosure (2005)you can see in the picture of the subs One of the 30" gold series (blue) neon tubes Used in the interior.

SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid         SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid

(Below) pic of the sub enclosure rear..The foam is to keep the whole enclosure from vibrating to the back of the trunk(it did many times)..Till I get the "beauty panels" made for the trunk. Also notice the staggered screws at the top rear of the enclosure.. I doubled up the front and rear panel to 1 1/2" thick also added 2x4 support beams throughout the enclosure top to bottom and side to side..with a huge box you NEED strength and support ..the more solid your box is the more efficently your subs perform..!

The box in the picture is sitting up against the 6x9 trough that hangs down in the trunk...there is about 6" between the rear of the box and the rear of the trunk..I had to Build the box Inside the trunk which takes lots of planning...and I had to dismantle it to get it out of the trunk.. I make my stuff so it's not simple to remove..not even for me. I should have got a close up of this..but where the factory wiring goes down from the trunk lid (upper left in pic) between the wire and top of the box I could not fit the tip of my pinkie finger between them.

Stinger battery #SP1000+ Stinger 1.5 Farad & Lighting Audio Strike Series Capacitors.
I am using a Stinger 200 Amp Solenoid(below) to disconnect the spare battery when the car is shut off.. This fixed the problem I had for a bit when the spare battery was draining my factory battery while my car was off.

SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid

  * I hilighted this statement because This is a pretty common problem that people have .

Stinger 150 amp circuit breakers used on the power wire path (2) (pic is of 100A)

SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid

The wiring was thrown together with spare pieces that I had laying around ..new system will be all new/matching and Hidden.

SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid

Kicker 6 1/2" components in the doors..Boston Acoustics 6x9's (I sealed the factory 6x9 trough with Dynamat will seal with fiberglass in the future)

I'm always re-designing my stereo install..cos that's my hobby so I'll be updating this whenever that happens.

A-Pillars with ////Alpine tweets custom molded

FAR SHOT OF A-PANEL: Showing seamless non-protruding look of Alpine DDDrive Silk dome tweets

SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid

CLOSE UP- TOP OF PANEL: Showing use of body filler to make the transition from panel to tweeter smooth(slightly rounded up around the edges) NOTE: The tweet sticks out almost 1/8 of an inch from the panel I wanted them to stick out a LITTLE bit..not much.

SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid

REAR OF PANEL: showing how wire was ran to keep from being pinched, showing 2 small sections that I glued the tweet to the panel(this was NOT necessary because I cut the hole just the right size. Just a precaution, A "Just in case" for when the bass starts doin it's thing.

SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid SCARCE911's 2001 Dodge Intrepid

Notice that I did not use the mounting cup that comes with the tweet....Only tools I used are a tiny drill bit and a razor blade to make the mounting hole..and a larger drill bit to make the holes for the wire to run through...... I am really happy with how this mod turned out considering it was my first attempt at this type of project.....I learned a few things about using body filler which is good..will help me out in the future!   1 thing I found out quick ...If you put too much hardener in a small amount of body filler it will harden in less than 2 minutes..lol

This also will bring my front stage up to a good level Ive been looking into putting my 5 1/4 midrange ALPINE DDDrive drivers up close to them, I wish the car had more room to work with in the up front dash section..that spot would be perfect. UPDATE : I am more than likely going to mount the 5 1/4 Midrange driver in the upper corner of the dash (for imaging reasons mainly) ..I found speaker grill cloth on ebay so this project is ON for now. UPDATE: Guess what project is off because the speakers dont physically fit in that area.. by about 1/8" ..It would work if I took out the windshield..but no thanks !

Yeah man, I still want to do it, I just need to find the time to pull it apart and check it out. There's three separate screens, so its a bit of work lol.

Alright man, I'm DEFINITELY interested in this swap. I have 3 screens. One for the A/C, and another for the overhead console computer, but then I've got this huge one in the dash at the bottom. I'll try and get you pictures of all 3 so that you can help me decide what i need to do. Thanks for you time buddy!
