October 21st, 2008:
Well after a long hiatus from working on the Z... I decided to sell a bunch of things and already sold with a quickness. SOLD... holset turbo, stock 300zxt clsd, autopower roll bar, fidanza alum flywheel and previous clutch setup, z32 gearbox setup, r200 finned diff cover, treadstone intercooler, maxima/240sx rear disc conversion, and more.
So it's back to a jackstand racer as the engine is out, z32 gearbox setup is out and SOLD, going to strip down the engine bay and fill all the holes, etc.
Also, all the new coilover suspension and control arms, etc are off. Hubs are going to machined to make like new and make sure they are straight for the new rotors to bolt up nicely. As well as the strut housing, hubs and all will be cleaned up and then zinc coated.
While I'm at, my all too familiar process... I'm making some custom adjustable rear control arms.
Also ordered and will be ordering some new parts:
G-Force T5 gearbox and matching clutch setup and custom driveshaft
Tilton Racing Pedals and Dual Brake Master Cylinder setup
Kameari Chrome Moly Light Weight Flywheel
Making Custom Adjustable Rear Control Arms
GReddy R200 Finned Extra Capacity Differential Cover
Nismo CLSD
Installing Rear Wilwood Brake Setup
Billet CV adaptor flanges and a fresh set of CV axles
Researching to make a custom oil pan
Thinking about getting a g-nose front end
I'm sure there's more as the list never ends.
TO BE CONTINUED...
July 7th, 2008:
Lots of new things done and to be posted, I'll try to post some pics soon.
I've stripped out the interior and tore out ALL stock wiring and in process with lots of help rewiring the whole Z brand new.
Lots of wiring tucking taking place in the engine bay, engine will be removed and all holes filled and smoothed out.
JDM headlight covers that have the trim powder coated flat black.
I've now also gone to EFI ITBs that I will have to build a custom plenum for.
The exhaust is done, fuel cell and battery relocation is all fabbed in, ITBs mocked up, interior stripped, new wiring in progress, fender exit vented waste gate and much more.
Car is a bit dirty and still under massive construction obviously. Rear roll pan is just in hack up phase, not even close to the final product.
April 20th, 2008:
The Z will be @ MSA West Coast Nationals Z Show this Sunday April 27, 2008... BUT I will be towing it in as it's still undergoing a lot of changes and won't even be close to running. All electrical, fuel and brake lines will be absent from the Z.
I've been busy busy and am going to try to present it the best I can though as I'm going to bust butt and get as much as I can done to it..
April 14th, 2008:
Since I'm replumbing all fuel lines throughout the whole car. I ordered some of the Aeroquip socketless fuel line (in -6 and -8 AN sizes).
Also bought some new 300zxt cv axles and the MM Billet CV adaptors, also getting a finned diff cover. Also, going to purchase an EZ wire kit for the car and VR sensor and trigger wheel for my COP ignition setup.
April 8th, 2008:
Well I've now fabricated another custom exhaust for my Z... 4" downpipe that transitions to oval pipe, then made an oval y-pipe that spilts to dual ovals and then after the diff comes back to 4" rounds to exit through dual aero turbine mufflers w/ 4" inlets.
Had to do this to allow more sufficient ground clearance as the single 4" round exhaust I built before was way too low w/ the new suspension setup.
I've also removed all stock brake and fuel lines.. going with upgraded lines on both.
I've got plenty left on the table to do... it's a long haul and I'm getting done what I can as fast as I can. It'll all be worth it in the end.
Cheers!
March 8th, 2008:
It's my B-day! Big 25... woo hoo... not really, nothing special. But I got the wheels powder coated some more (flat black centers and matte red lips) and finally got them back, pieced them back together and got the tires mounted back on... threw the wheels back on the car and this is the final result... also clamped the fuel cell and frame in place to get an idea of how it's gonna sit.
February 29th, 2008:
Drained the gas tank yesterday, still had 8 gallons of 91 octane in it. Then today I cut out the hatch floor area to prepare to build a frame for the fuel cell. Which I hope to start on tomorrow.

February 28th, 2008:
The car sat on the ground on it's new suspension and wheels for 1st time on February 22nd and it looks bad ass! BUT 1 of the wheels weren't sealing properly and wouldn't hold air, so I decided to take apart all the wheels and have the lips coated matte red to match the car, the rear of the barrel sand blasted and clear coated and to change the satin black to flat black for the centers.
I will pick up the wheels up on Monday and reassemble and add new sealant around the wheels where they bolt together.
Also, will start to drop the gas tank today and get ready to cut up the hatch floor and prepare for fuel cell install.
December 23rd, 2007:

June 14th, 2007:I fabricated my own full 4" mandrel bent exhaust system, made it 3 pieces that are held together by v-band flanges. And I made to options for the tail pipe... a straight through Aero muffler OR a Megaphone. I can swap them out in like 2 min cuz of the ease of the v-bands.
May 20th, 2007:
The engine is in, I've made my IC pipes and a cold air intake outta 4" piping. Gonna make my down pipe outta 4" piping on Monday sometime. The z32 trans is bolted in along w/ the alum. flywheel and clutch assembly.
Gotta order an alum. radiator and some mounts.
Still some things to do, but it's coming along and gonna be killer!
March 4th, 2007: Well the whole engine was torn down 2 weeks ago in my garage as a precaution to go over all parts in preparation of the new mods coming up soon. Wanted to make sure everything was up to snuff.
BAD NEWS: The individual who had this engine built about 6k miles ago put it together poorly, the cylinder walls are washed and outta bore 0.038 thousandths and the block saw a lot of heat.
GOOD NEWS: The rotating assembly is still in great shape and I got a new block to be bored out to fit these pistons.
