Started with these parts:
LS1 T56, 6 speed transmission out of a 98 Z28.
GM F body TH350 crossmember, cut off the trans mount pad.
******************************************************************************************************************************
I've had alot of people ask how I did this trans swap. Following are pics & part numbers of what I did: I had roughly 3000 hard miles on this set up (at the time the car was stolen) with no problems whatsoever. Of course, your milage may vary.

Above four pics show the T56 trans mounted to the modified TH350 x-member. I flipped the x-member around (180 degrees), cut off the trans mounting pad & welded it to the bottom of the other side. The mounting pad is now 1-5/8" lower than that of the old TH350. The X member uses original mounting holes and the T56 output shaft is 2-1/2 degrees down.

**********************************************Other Parts Parts needed for this TH350 to T56 swap

o LS1 T56 transmission.
o GM bellhousing - mine was 621 style.
o Adjustable pivot ball (Summit p/n LAK-15501)goes in bellhousing. Mine was adjusted about 3/8 inch longer than a stock pivot ball.
o McLeod adapter plate (Summit p/n 8-207) this bolts to the back of your 621 (old style) GM bellhousing....only goes on one way.
o oversize pilot bushing (0.400 thicker than stock). I made mine, but you can now purchase thru McLeod. P/N 8617.
o Stock GM, 11 inch, 26 spline clutch kit. My clutch kit included a throw out bearing, a pilot bushing and an alignment tool.
o Stock GM 168 tooth lightweight flywheel
o Same starter as was used with TH350 trans.
o Factory 2nd generation (mechanical linkage) stock camaro pedals, z-bar, z-bar bracket and support hardware, upper & lower pushrods, clutch fork, ect.
