Body/Paint
My car is now parked in the garage for the rest of the month. This is my temporary ride until I'm finished with my car. A 1991 4.0L inline 6 Jeep Charokee. 190 rowdy ponies, haha!
This is the paintjob I have planned for my car. We'll have roughly $10,000 in the body and paint.
I've planned some pretty extensive modifications for the body & body kit, including: adding scoops to the body, adding scoops to the rear bumber, & customizing the front bumper. The tribal design on this page & the 1st page is a design for a custom vinyl decal to go on the rear window.
I also removed that rediculous aluminum wing. We welded & finished 21 seperate holes that were drilled into the deck lid and covered with body filler... the previous owners weren't exactly comitant body technicians or anything.
I have to take all of the body kit pieces off & completely redo them. The fenders are being replaced with steel OEM fenders whitch I plan to customize with scoops. I also want to replace the BC1 side skirts and front bumper with a Streetfighter style body kit. I love the BC1 rear bumper though, an plan on keeping it. Then, i need to fabricate brackets & hangers so that the bodykit actually fits onto the body without moving and floping around. A previous owner mounted the side skirts with wood screws... right into the quarter panels! Like I said, incompetant.
The worst thing to fix on this body?
...the signature Honda rust.

These are the scoops i added into the bumper. I believe they were out of a tail section from a Yamaha YZF600.
Here is how the car looks right now... the body work is finished, and it's about a week away form going into paint.
I finished all of the jambing, here are the results.

i h8 that one shape (the big wannabe scoop), so i made it into a scoop.
