Went from this SE-R
to THIS SE-R
I had Spec V fever for months...couldnt pry me from it. This Nismo wannabe was just what I wanted to build as a project car. For a stock machine, it's a formidable opponent for most cars on the road! This car could rip & roar down the hwys like no other, taking curves at breakneck speeds with NO tire-squeel. All that abruptly ended with a tuff curve on the I-71/480 merge by the Airport. *BLACK~ICE*!!!

After surfing all the forums I could find on SE-R's, all the rave was this SR20DE(T) motor. Having that '02 SpecV for 20 months...I decided that I wanted the 1st SE-R made. 7 months of searching & I found it hiding in a tiny used car lot on the west of Cleveland for $1500.
I Purchased this 1991 SE-R in June of 2004. It had 134,500 miles. I was aware of damage to passenger side axle, because it had been “Duct taped”. Under further investigation, I discovered the car must have been run off the road or over a curb. Scrape marks on the undercarriage, and the damage to the passenger side Stab Pin, Axle & Ball Joint were evident. By October of 2004, the car had 141,000 miles and all of the necessary repairs had been performed. Paint was put on the car sometime b4 I came into possession of this car. In that process, the “SE-R” & “Sentra” badge had been covered. Will pamper & Mod this SE-R till I can’t stand it anymore!
this is the engine bay b4 i bought it, and as of (7-2005).
some of the Mods that I have done so far include, removal of all AC plumbing, removal of all air baffles, Removal of the Mudflaps, Custom bent 2.5" cat back w/ Muffler. Short Ram Intake, Strut Tower Brace, 100 Watt driving lights, Silver Star headlights, studs for the passenger side mount, new motor mounts & Installed an under-hood light.

Still waiting on a nice Camera to snap some good quality pics, but a short update on the recent mods:
Since the shifter is the most touched item in the car, I believe the short shifter & the Nismo shift knob are my favorite mods! The shorter shifter with the lowered, stiffer ride height made such a difference in the fun factor behind the wheel! The power increase from 4k to redline is very impressive. The Header has been the best bang for my bucks so far. Passing someone on a 2 lane is an awesome experience! From 40mph, slip it in 2nd - blip the throttle to 5k- then dump the clutch and drop the hammer...shift to 3rd at 7k and 70 is right there! Going to the 9mm wires and the NGK-PFR6B-11's proved an impressive power gain as well. This car is a very quick car from the factory, with the few mods I've done- it's in a different league now. No doubt in my mind that when I hit Norwalk this spring, 14.? will be achieved! Had to get the larger Rims b4 I could go with the AD22VF's, so that's next on the agenda. Will paint all 4 calipers, and upgrade the rear rotors.
OK I hate to mention the demise of the 91, but now I've got this lil SE-R to play with! Lots of mods so far and lots of plans in the future!
