Making room for the tweeters:
In my front door I had to move the side-mirrors' control module back a bit (you can see the new drill holes to the right of the old holes).
I didn't need a whole lot of room, so I made I used my dremel (w/Carbide Cutting Wheel) to make a few slices, so to speak.
This was a bad idea. Don't try to cut through steel frame, unless you have a serious piece of equipment! I only needed a small amount of breathing room, because the mounts made up for most of the depth.
I used a metal drill bit and about 30 minutes of time doing the damage you see above. I learned my lesson the second time around. I simply drilled one hole in the center and pounded in a pointed crowbar with a mini-sledgehammer. I essentially did the same on the other side but with quite a bit more damage!
