Hi, here's my page so far. I got a 1998 Grand Prix GTP that I bought from my dad in the spring of '04. With the stock setup and some race preparations at the track, I got my best 1/4 mile time down to a 14.5 @ 94 mph. I wanted more power, so I did some mods from www.intense-racing.com in August '04 and now I'm down into the 13's. I'm happy but not done yet.

Stock setup: 14.568 @ 94 mph
Best to date: 13.601 @ 101 mph

List of mods so far:

1. INTENSE 3.2" s/c pulley
2. Goodyear Gatorback supercharger belt
3. INTENSE 1.9:1 Full Roller Rockers
4. INTENSE oil restricted pushrods
5. INTENSE 180 degree thermostat
6. Autolite 103 spark plugs (stock wires)
7. SLP cold air induction package with K&N cone filter
8. SLP Ceramic coated Headers
9. SLP Hi-Flo Cat and rear 02 simulator
10. SLP "Loudmouth" cat-back exhaust with dual/dual slash cut tips
11. INTENSE standard PCM
12. Blower Belt-tensioner pulley

The INTENSE-RACING website tells me that with all those mods, I should have an additional 80-90 wheel horsepower, which would be about 100-110 more HP at the crank. The car is without a doubt, much quicker with the mods, but I'm not sure how much of that HP gain I really believe. I'm hoping to put it on a dyno soon and find out.

First time at the track with my engine mods, and I realized I had a bit of a traction problem. The first run of the night was a complete smoke show when I got the green light, and I ran 15.5 seconds -haha. I only got to make 3 passes that night (too many people there) but I finally worked my time down to a 14.1.

I ended up getting a pair of Nitto Drag Radials for Christmas, helped me out quite a bit. My best run so far is 13.601 @ 100.71 mph with a 1.906 second 60-foot time, still with a bit of tire spin at the line.

I was gonna do some more engine mods soon, but I think what would help me out more is a better Limited-Slip diff. from INTENSE. That and some suspension work, and I should be able to drop my time a little deeper into the 13's.

Street tires: Michelin Energy 235/60 16
Race tires: Nitto Drag 555R 245/50 16

This is my newest toy, an '89 RMX250, so probably no more mods to the car til I get this fixed and runnin a little better, hopefully not too long.
