Welcome to my LeBaron site! As a "dyed in the wool" Shelby Daytona lover, I decided before its too late, I should try to find a nice
LeBaron convertible for the summer. (Actually, I was, and still am, searching for a nice 90+ GTC model to buy and keep at my Sisters house in Atlanta, so if you know where a nice one is, ya'll let me know!)
Anyway, While searching, I got curious, and started searching here in Germany. I had 12 candidates all lined up, based on price, condition, and options to go look at. I was just about to get a "garden variety"(but loaded) 3.0Liter 91 GTC model, when SHAZAAM! I stumbled upon an ultra rare 89 model GTC TII 5-Spd car!

Only 22 of these Cars were exported to Germany back then.
ONE owner, low miles, and garaged, and purchased in the very same City where it was sold new in Springtime 1990...just doesnt get any better does it? Here are the pics as I found it in www.autoscout24.de and in the last pics, how it looks now. It will be constantly upgraded, and is undergoing a Shelby/Pace Car conversion now. Enjoy the pics!
Here is the TII engine-16yrs.old, and only 56,000 Miles!

Front views (Note slight bumper trim crack)
Mint leather interior!

Rear view with GTC luggage rack (will be removed, and a "M3 style" Pace Car wing added)

The Previous owner, on the very day he drove it out of the underground Garage where it sat for 7 years (!!!), on the way to the Dealership to trade it in for a Minivan for his Daughter, ran it down a wooden fence line! result? Mainly scratched paint, and cracked trim pieces, and he broke a mirror off.Thats why when I bought it, it had a US Spec "sail" mirror on one saide, and the Euro Spec "Flag" style on the other side!
(And can you believe, I didn't even SEE that when I went to test drive the Car? THATS how bad I wanted it!
I have since purchased all that I need to fix this slight damage, and I will chronicle the slow resto as it progresses.
Broken drivers side rear valence trim:

Euro spec "Blanks" where US models have reflectors:

Euro spec mirrors. These are for sale/trade-all power/heated. Advantages are, they fold back instead of breaking off when someone rubs against them, or when you run down pedestrians on a sidewalk!

Front corner broken trim (since fixed)

US Style reflector:

was installed when prev. owner skinned up that side.
