My Dad built the engine in his Grandmothers Garage in like 1975 or 76. It is a 289 with TRW 10.5:1 pistons,Crane Fireball Series cam, Eldebrock Torker, 600cfm Holley, full length Hedmans, Accel BEI electronic ignition, flex fan, stock heads, C-4 with B&M shift kit, Hurst Slap stick, 4:11 in the rear, cut coils in front, heavy sway bars all around and Gabriel Adjustable E's, steering column and gear box out of a 68 Mustang, removed the power steering and went with a manual set up. It is a hard running little 289, rev's like hell and will break the tires loose shifting into third. My Dad called it a crotch rocket. This picture was taken in 1975 or 76 just after the engine was put in. Say's he built it all for just around 2200.00 including the suspension.
