Im a 17 year old male who has had MANY problems with this car. A 1985 Buick Somerset Regal. 2 door, black with red pinstripe, red interior, Am/Fm/Cassette, and a power antenna. It's a V6.
This car was my first car. I got it about a year and half ago. The day I got it, I knew it was a bad car. It didn't start for 4 hours after I brought it home. After that day, it ran fine...for 2 months. It stalled, it wouldn't start, and had electrical problems. I gave the car to my dad to use as a work car. He fixed some of it but eventually it broke down on him. He didn't want it anymore and was going to junk it. I decided to take the car back. I stuck over $700 into it so it would run again. The major problem with it was a Transmission Sylenoid. It was getting plugged up and needed to be replaced. I got that done about 2 months ago. Since then, it has run like brand new.
