Car is pretty much stock aside from the aftermarket beats. I went through a lot of trouble with this. For some reason Cadillac is making it very difficult to upgrade their stock systems.
I rewired the ENTIRE system with no connection to the stock HU. The stock head unit is in the trunk. Unfortunately disconnecting the stock HU is not an option as it has been known to cause very undesirable results and I did not buy a Cadillac just to hack up the stereo and do a bunch of cheesy wiring. The car actually sees the stock head unit as one of its computers and does not like when you disconnect it.
Just got this work done in January 08'
