the up close view of the skirt.
things you will need:
self fillating(spl??) screws(as in the ones you can screw straight into metal...and they make their own hole and stuff...)
2 plastic guards( the ones off the front bumpers of corsicas..that is ussually bolted on)
a good pair of scissors(or just a pair of hedge trimmers)
a black sharpie
bout an hour
patience

Ok here it goes.
you will get the plastic "skirts "off some corsicas in the j.y. Clean them up,wash them, and do what ever, especially if you plan on painting them to match the body color, prep them now,as in sand and stuff.
You will be bolting these plastic things onto the bottom of your bumper.
Now,step one, take one and place the part that curves right where the bumper curves too.you'll notice the curve isn't the same, but we'll get to that later.Mark where you want to cut it (at the fender)leave about 1/4 inch of extra material so you can play with it later and get it to fit the fender curve, and continue the imaginary line down below the bumper...so it looks like it's part of the bumper.
Cut it,and place it aside. Now do the same for the other side, cut it.You'll now want to put something so the plastic skirt continues from the side across the middle of the bumper and to the other side...ohh,don't forget to cut off the end part that curves uo,because you'll later whnt to put it's end to the end of another piece, ans mold them together makling it look like it's one piece(throughout the whole measure and cut steps, rememberALWAYS LEAVE LOTS OF EXTRA MEATERIAL to play with...this will also make it easyer to mold the pieces together, and you won't even need filler if you take the time to shave a bit off each end with an exacto knofe so when you bold them they'll go together....kindof like a puzzle....so it's kind of going to be like on the front bumper, but a home made version for the back.same concept thought.so once you have everythign layed out,and it loooks like the black skirt goes from the end of the bumer (at the wheel) to the other end,you need to take care of that stupid curve.

this is the skirt...and the white part withe the dots is the oart that has screws going through it to hold it to the bumper...this is the part that needs to hape parts cut out of it in order to bend it so it's curve matches that of the bumper.
Proceed to cut triangles out of the backing of the plastic thing, right around where it curves,so you can curve it a bit more so it will be the same as the bumper .now start at the end of the bumper(you might need a helper)and get someone to drill through the plastic skirt's backing into the rear bumper.Use the self screwing screws cause you'll need to drill them into the metal bumper. While they're screwing it into place, make sure to hold it flush with the bumper...so once it's screwd in it will look flush an as one piece of the bumper.continue screwing it in ,and make sure to keep the screws prety close together in order to make sure it doesn't bend out or in between where you screwd it in.go all the way around.when you get to the exaust tip...if you have one that comes out,cut and mold the plastic around it or how you wish.now ,where two pieces of plastic skirt join, finush bolting one,and when you bolt the next one on,make sure to over lap themso you can cut way and make sure they go together so you won't need body filler to make them look like one...and after you make them look like one, then you can continue putting tje rest of the screws in to put that piece in.Same procedure every time you join 2 pieces of the skirt. So,by now,it'll be on,and it should look flush, and as if the factory built it.
now onto the finishing details(i didn't do these cause i spent the time to cur and shave where they met us so it all looks like one piece)

take some body filler, and put it where you joint 2 pieces of the skirt, and sand it and mold it....blah blah.I would sugest,ig you're going to make it body color...2fast4you...cough...that you also take the time to mold it with filler, and make it all look flush, and then mask it off, primer it,and paint it as you desire.
