Next Generation "1 Ton Leroy"
As with every project, the work never ends and no project is ever complete. After bending my front toyota axle I decided to upgrade. I have now installed a set of Chevy 1 ton axles. Dana 60 up front with a Detroit locker and 14 bolt in the rear with a PORC mini-spool 5.38 gears front and back. Leroy now rolls on a set of re-centered H1 Military Double Beadlock Hummer rims care of USA 6x6 and 39.5x15 TSL's.
The factory link and coil suspension from the rear was cut out and has been replaced with a set of F150 2wd 57" rear leaf springs. The front previous SAS was upgraded with a wider hanger to accomdoate the full width axles and the prevously installed 52" chevy springs were replaced with a set of F150 2wd 57" rear leaf springs
