Stage 3 - Modified Stage

I was satisfied with my previous modifications but still was not where I wanted to be with my 4runner. Stage 3 brought some major changes to the look and offroad ability of my 4runner.

This stage I like to call the LittleRunner Stage.

Chrismas 2003 gave birth too the installation of a 3" Performance Accessories body lift, 33x12.5x15 Kumho MT's and a Set of use 15x10 whitespoke rims with a 3.5" backspace.

This made a drastic change in the look and stance of my rig. It raised it another 5 inches and widened the stance by about 7 inches from when I bought it. This left me about 10 inches wider than a stock 4runner.

The oversized tires effected my fuel economy and the way my transmission shifted. I could no longer use OverDrive on the Highway...so in April 2004 I swapped out the 4.10 gears for a set of 4.56 gears and at the same time I installed an automatic locker in the rear. I now get around 20mpg on the highway.

hey man i like your 4runner. i was wondering how you liked the new gears for your ride. i was thinking about putting on 4.88 since i have 33's but you used a different ratio and i was wondering if you liked it.also how much did you pay for your gears and work.
