So i drove this high k car for about 5 months then had decided to sell it when the engine blew on me. Not worth anything to sell so i decided to have some fun with it. I ended up dropping about 5 k into performance goodies. Pacesetter header, got rid of the car, flowmaster 40 series muffler with 2 1/4 piping gave it easier breathing. Estimated +15 hp
As for the engine...
Head shaved then Bored out cylinders with sized up pistons to gain a bit of torque and keep the compression at road worthy levels 9.5 to 1 =+5-8hp
-K&N air filter: more air flow +5hp
-Slotted powerslot rotors on the front but nothing made for the rear
-Port and Polish: +10hp
-High performance clutch
-full top to bottom rebuild was done last summer
looking at maybe upgrading to an msd ignition and i saw a guy with a chip. gotta find me one of those
The car is in beautiful shape and the 15" FRD rims go good with the 190/50/15 Hankook HRII's that i bought for it.
