"DEDICATION" - Is a word I know all too well.
Welcome to my CarDomain page! My name is Kaylan Marie. Im currently 20 years old and working full time at a local Saab dealership. I was brain washed into saabs at a young age by my mother and father. They have owned nothing but saabs for the past 30 years. Ive been going to rallys with my parents since I was in a stroller. What did they expect was going to happen?? When I started driving my parents bought me an $800 1979 saab 900 EMS so I could get myself to school and work. When I was 15 my mom brought home a 1994 white 9000 Aero and when I saw that car, I knew that I had to have one. When I turned 17 I was already working full time and finishing up high school. I had just saved up $1700 cash and bought myself a nice little 1993 9000 CSE... but it just wasn't the AERO I had been dreaming of.
Differences between the CSE and the AERO models are:
- Aero editions had a special body kit and color coded rear spoiler
- 10mm lower and tuned suspension
- Recaro front and rear leather bucket seats
- Harmon Kardon 10 speaker sterio system
- High output turbo TD04-HL-15T (pictured in the backround) making 14.5 PSI
I had searced Autotrader for months when I finally found it. A black on black Aero, low mileage, west coast only car, with a 5 speed transmission. They were asking $10,000 for it which was on the high retail price range at the time.
The following weekend my mother and I were driving home my new car. Now at this point in the story I want it to be known im not some spoiled brat with parents that have too much money. My parents have not invested a dime into purchasing my car, or helping me modify it. My mother financed the vehicle in her name because she knew how badly I wanted it, and because she had no doubts I was responsible enough to always make the $300 payments.
THEN IT ALL BEGAN.... A week later my clutch was toast. (figures) I bought it a new clutch, an Abbott Racing upgraded ECU, and Forge wastegate actuator.
Have I mentioned lately how addicting boost is? The rest is history.
Now I have been driving and modifying my car for over three years. Its a completely different car than that luxary vehicle it seems I purchased just yesterday. Im proud of the results I have been seeing and now have some pretty big goals for myself. Im going to be doing Hill Climb racing with my car along with several Auto-X events, drag challenges, and road course events. My next upgrades to my car will be a complete roll cage, new brakes, and the firewall I need to install inside my vehicle between the drivers seat and my fuel system in the trunk. This vehicle is being tuned to run on E85 (ethenol).
This car has amazing handling potential, a lot of power under the hood, and a motivated driver behind the wheel. I may be a young girl, but I am very competative and am looking to get noticed behind the wheel. I am licenced by the NHRA as a super comp dragster driver, and I cannot wait to hit the track again! I love going fast! I have been working very hard to get my own car into competative racing condition.
This car is currently 510WHP on a DynoDynamics Dyno running 92octane pump gas. It was converted from a five door to a three door and recieved a new paint job. It has a full stand alone engine management system and a GT35R turbo swap. The motor internalls still remain completely stock as they came from the factory. It has now reached over 110,000 miles and has perfect compression accross all four.
