Sound Deadening the Cabin

I used a thicker material for the floor. It's called Thermozite. It's 1/2 inch carpet type material that's very tightly woven with an aluminum side woven on. I had problems cutting it with regular scissors. It cost $9 a yard and I bought 2 yards. Here are pics of the floor with the carpet removed.

Here's sound deadening on the rear deck.

Here's pics after the Thermozite was put down. I used latex caulking to hold the aluminum face to the mating surface.

I put thermozite and peel & seal in the hollow space infront of the rear tires to dampen the tire noise.

system lookin nice and clean. Did u stick half of tha cap in tha floor? never thought of doin that. How long it take u of labor to do?took me awhile since i didnt work on it all at once, jus lil by lil. So finished in like 1.5 weeks, but prolly 17 hrs worth of work from beginning to finish. Might of been more or less. Chex out my 89 Celica, guarntee it somethin totally different, prop it

Very nice! Was it difficult taking the carpet and seats out? Great work, though, check me out some time!
