Hey my name is Mike, I am 19 years old, and live in Wisconsin. This is my '94 Chevy K1500 Silverado Z71. This truck was a piece. It had a Blown motor, fading paint, nasty interior, and was sitting on 4 flat tires. I restored it before it was too far gone and it took alot my money just like any project. It is now parked for the winter, becuase I am at college. I am looking to get a Tahoe/Yukon in the spring, and start over with some bigger wheels, system, ect..

June 3, 2006: Competed in first SPL comp with the new setup. Did 136 dB on New TermLab. I think that I was playing too high of a test tone at like 50 something Hz. I would think i could crank 2-3 more dB out with some more tuning and a lower tone. Not bad for one 12 though.

Thanks for taking the tie to check out my truck. The more reading I do, the more I think the ls1 is that way to go with my truck. I've read about guys trying to build a big power 383 stroker out of the vortec, and finding that they can't get enough fuel to it with the stock injection system. A lot of those guys ended up going to an ls1 becuase they said by the time you built the motor, getting an aftermarket EFI system made the whole buildup WAY too expensive, and in the end, they felt the ls1, while a ton of work to get it to cooperate, was actually the better choice. So thats what I've learned from the internet about it anyways. thanks again for checking out the truck, and good luck with yours!! looks good!!
