my stock 7.5 rear end took a fall when the spyder gears chipped off and basically shattered. it messed up my gearset, some bearings and it went through the backplate. i considered fixing it but i also had housing damage so i decided against it. i had an old 67 cougar sitting out in a field that i used to drive so i went out and got the 8" rear from it. Here are some pictures of it fresh from the car, cleaned up and painted and installed. ill have some pictures of the rebuild/build here in a few days...that includes new Gearset and master bearing/seal kit.
also...now that i had the 8" rear end i had to find a driveshaft to fit the 1330 yoke. i got a d-shaft from a 5spd explorer. it has a large OD and large spline count and about 7" of slip. 1350 u-joint on top and a 1330 on bottom.

8" Build.
I rebuilt my 8" axle with an overhaul kit, new wheelbearings, new gearset, new mini-spool, chromoly crosspin and forged carrier.
