I have owned this car for 2 years now, and always lusted after a Camaro or Vette, but the more I drive it the more in love I am with it. It sat for most of the 2 years, but was well maintained and purrs like a kitten (occasional sneezes). At 110k and climbing, I have just started to embark on some modifications. I installed a Flowmaster 40 series (stayed at 2" diam for the moment), but intend on replacing the entire exhaust system once I figure out whether I want to swap engines for the 3.4L everyone seems to brag about. New plugs and wires, K&N filter, and other tune-up maintenance items have given this car better performance then I knew it had. Since it is a used vehicle, it has the standard assortment of small nicks and dings, but nothing too major, thank god. The bumpers seem to have faded faster than the body itself though.
This winter I intend on replacing the interior carpeting and reupholstering the seats in some sort of vinyl/leather, upgrading the stock stereo and speakers (although the stock sounds great as is), and upgrade the existing exterior lighting to LEDs. I would like to find a set of bucket seats to replace the stock bench seats if possible. I used to have an 88 Dodge Daytona Shelby that had motorized ones - I miss that car for that sole reason (well, the turbo too). In the spring maybe a new paint job, depending on budgetary constraints.
If anyone has any suggestions or advice, please feel free to email me. I've learned a lot by browsing the forums and seeing the various modifications you've all undertaken.
Oh, and current 'before' pics will be up shortly.
