Well known by the brazilians this is a second generation VW Gol 1.6 MI. I took this innocent looking (and performing) ride and turned it into an 1.8T A3/GTI easy match up (the stock ones of course!). Running a considerable size turbo which literally kicks in at 3,000 rpm 180hp comes easy and sends the little red Gol leaping forward. It?s beautiful!! he he he.Performance came with performance springs to match and the clockworks: 100mm 10,000 RPM indicador (although the injection cuts at 7,000, its looks really good :-)), shift light, hallmeter, pirometer and turbo pressure gages. 195/50 Pirelli p6000 wrapped on 15" TSW Imola wheels. Extra info: Now running on alcohol (ethanol) instead of gasoline. No a/c and no power steering. Swapt the orginal injectors for higher flow ones and added an extra one controlled by an injection management central. Turbo timer also fitted pic of springs: http://www.spportcarbr.net/tech/at_00.htm Update: just fitted in a new clutch kit with a 4 pads ceramic plate.

I like that idea of horn shoeing a powerful motor into a light car. Sounds really fun! Check out my 98 VR6 Jetta! http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/811012
