This is the most recent picture of my father's Nostalgia Top Fuel Dragster. It has a Decked Out cast (block and heads) 392 Chrysler Hemi Motor, with a 671 Blower, Enderlee Injection, and Zoomie Headers, as well as so much more. It's capable of putting out 1400 HP on 95% Nitromethane/Methanol (alky)mix, and has run the first season in the mid-6's. He cracked it up on test and tune day last fall. No one was hurt.

I sat in it the first time it was fired as a complete car (first on alky pure, second on 90% Nitro), checked the brakes and throttle for injection tuning, and help him with the hydrometer when I mix the Nitro/Alky mix regularly. He once considered me as a driver early on, since I knew his system, but he dug up some of his old drivers from the 60's and 70's who know the trade.

Everything He has in it is retro from when they used to run them in the late 1960's. My father used to run the circuit around the country through the 60's and early 70's, and has bragging rights of beating "Big Daddy" Don Gartlits. His best time was in 1971 in a rear engine dragster, with an E.T. of 6.87 and 226MPH. I'm not sure if he was driving at that time, as he just had 2 children (me and my sister).

This is TRUE Nostalgia Top Fuel Racing, not any of that billet crap. Sure its faster, but is it really nostalgia? If you want to see a REAL Nostalgia Top Fuel Dragster, come up to Union Grove Dragway, in Union Grove WI., or see their website to see when Joe Krupinski Racing is going to be there. He's there alot on "test and tune" days, and the car will be ready and doing some Mid-West touring starting in April. Hes reaching for the first car with a Cast Iron Block And Heads to reach the 5's.

His Son, Joseph Alan Krupinski.
