Well 2007 is almost over.
I drove the 69 to several WDMG club meetings and to work twice. That is a 140 mile round trip.
I took it down to British Return to Ft Meigs show in Perrysburg OH.

Then we went on our annual trip to Canada.
Here we are with my MGB at the Westover Inn near Stratford ON.
The car ran fine on the way out but on the way back I decided to take the express way and as soon as we got up to speed the car died. About 60KM from Port Huron.

I checked for fuel and found out the pump had quit. It was an aftermarket pump that some one had put on the car. I banged on it and it started to pump again but only worked for a few seconds. So we called a tow truck. AAA connected us to CAA and we were loaded up and on our way shortly.
But to our suprise the Canidian tow truck driver said he could not take us over the bridge as he was not allowed to drive his truck into the US. So he unloaded us in the curency exhange parking lot. We sat there for hours. AAA told us that they were trying to find someone from the US side to come and get us. Finially a truck was on it's way. When the truck came we found it had drove all the way from Davison MI, about an hour drive from the Blue water bridge.
The good thing is we only live 15 miles from Davision so the tow truck driver did not have to drve very far after dropping us off. Didn't cost me a dime for the tow by cost over $80 in roaming charges on my cell phone talking to AAA!
I put on a replacement pump and the MG was running again.
I did replace the points with an electric ignition module and the car runs better than ever. Also put on a set of K&Ns.
I attended a 4th July show in downtown Flint. I was the only one there with a British car. Hmm... I wonder why?

When we went on vacation to Oscoda MI, about 2 1/2 hours north, I told my wife I needed to drive the MG up so every time I'd have to run into town for food and stuff she would still have a car just in case.

Once again I made it down to Battle of the Brits. It was a very rainy day starting out but cleared up a bit later in the afternoon.
The last drive of the season was the Fall colour tour. We went down to the Dexter apple cider mill and then some nice twisty backroads up to Stockbridge for drinks. Then some more nice roads up to Hamburg for dinner. Every thing was great except the fall colors were mostly green this year.

Bought a wrecked 1970 BGT over in Metamora for parts.

The story is that it was bought in an auction 15 years ago and stored in a dirt floored barn. Then the guy I got it from bought it and was going to restore it but found allthough it look fairly rust free on the out side it is all rotted out underneath.
Now my car is over at my friends house for until I can get my new 4 post lift assembled. Then I sould have room for 3 MGs in my garage.
