neo2112's 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier

I bought this 2000 Cavalier from my cousin when she updated to her SS Camaro, so I got a screamin' deal on it. I'm still in high school so I don't have much time or money for it, but I do what I can. So far I've put the 4.5" APC muffler on it, the 17" Motegi's and the Eibach Sportline lowering springs.

I've been looking into a body kit, but I live in the mountains, and the winter is hard on the car enough, so I need to wait till it warms up and the gravel and sand gets cleaned off the roads.

My stereo is my favorite part of my car, I need to put some mid-range in, even though the stock speakers aren't all that bad. I have two Audiobahn 10" Flame Q series subwoofers in a custom ported box that I built myself, powered by an Audiobahn A8002T Amp.

I took out the whole dash and sanded it all down, then primed the hell out of it and hit that with some blue with blue flake paint then cleared the hell out of it. I am going to do alot more of it soon and will take some pics.

well i took the old knob off and the new one does not twist on, but it has 3 screws at the bottom that you twist in with an alan wrench, even then it doesnt fit all the way tight, so i took duct tape and wrapped arounf the shift pole which makes the diameter thicker and then you can twist the screws in from there, thats how i got mine to work

my friend designed my vinyls on his photoshop. I sent him a side view and he started drawing the graphics, then i took it to my sticker guy and he printed them out and we put them on. i got the lambo door kit on ebay for 400 bucks. I have the BOMZ and i dont notice too much play, i'm not shure entirely what you mean... did you tighten the 2 adjusters together? once you tighten them together they should be quite stiff and you shouldnt have to adjust them again. I dont know exactly how much difference the lowering it is... i had lowering springs on the cr before so i only noticed maybe an inch or so of lowering, bu thats becase the springs lowered it already. So OVERALL I'd say it lowered it about 4 inches total from stock? Something like that. How much did you pay for yoru sportline and do they really ride smooth? Mine ride like crap! but thats also because i have low profile tires, which YOU WILL SEE once you get lower tires it will ride a lot less smoothly than stock tires with ACTUAL sidewalls! Plus i lowered the BOMZs all th way to the bottom because i hate fender gap! But i'd say the BOMZs work great! I dont see how some could be better than others, they all look to do the same purpose to me, but if you noticed a difference, then go for it, which ever works better! -Kyle

it wasnt all that hard to get flames like that. If you have a friend good with photoshop, take a direct side shot of the cavy and start drawing an outline on it, if you got a sticker place by you they can print our the full body vinyls for cheap. You were asking about the BOMZs well mine are lowered ALL THE WAY DOWN so i guess it cant move anymore! Yeha i did get mine off ebay tho. You asked another guy about dual exhaust, I have the same dual RKSport magnaflow exhaust kit and i did not like the sound of magnaflow, it sounded very raspy and sort of poppy expecially when your flooring it. chopped the magnaflows off and got a newer OBX dual DTM style muffler and wow it sounds MUCH better than the magnaflows. It depends on dual exhaust or not. Some cavs dont have enough HP or backpressure to rock dual exhaust and some say it decreases the HP and torque, but i had single exhaust and switched to dual and i didnt notice ANY difference among perfrmance, but that could just be me.... its all in what you want the exhaust to look like, my kit has 2 holes so i needed dual exhaust.
