I bought this car off a freind from work in January for $1100, which was an incredible deal. The car had 97k miles on it, interior neon lights, and some nice Konig 16" rims with lo-pros, and only minor body damage. As soon as I got it I parked it in the garage and swapped out the stereo system from my dead Geo Metro. At the time that was a Kenwood KDC-2022 head unit, 2 Coustic 6 1/2" front speakers, 2 6x9 pioneer speakers in the back, and a 12" sony xplod(the 1100 watt max power handling one) with the 1200 watt sony xplod amp(probably a big mistake).
First I got a new head unit for the car, a Sony Xplod CDX-F5700 and it was way louder/better than the kenwood, so I always cranked the sub in that :). But, about 2 weeks ago I blew the sony xplod 12" woofer(go figure) and heard about some deals that were going on in Columbus, and ended up buying 2 10" kicker L7's and a Subzone ported box for about $450.
As you can see these subs take up the entire trunk, and they really kick...hard.

Checklist for what needs to be done to the car:
-I need to get a drivers side tail light and front signal light
-Passenger window needs tinted(car was broken into before it was mine)
-DYNAMAT!! the rattling is driving me crazy
-better suspension...I think one of my springs may even be broken right now :/
-better speakers...I can't hear my music over my subs lol
-H.I.D.(10,000k)Headlights and foglights
-and then maybe some interior/exterior styling :)
