Ok so I have decided that it is finally time to redo my cardomain site for my baby due to the fact that the pages were so scattered and plentiful that it was annoying. So I hope that you enjoy the new redesigned page for Psycosis.
The begining:
When I bought my Neon in Feburary of 2002, I was just looking for an affordable car the I could drive back and forth to school in, not something to turn into a major project. Well, when I found the Neon sitting at the dealership I pulled in thinking "Hey what the heck its sporty looking, priced well and American made" (no offense to anybody who owns an import but I was in to BIG 4WD trucks at the time). After having driven the car and talking to the bank for a while figuring out the specifics I was the owner of a 96 Dodge Neon 2Dr. with only 38,000 miles on it in March 2002.
Summer 2002
First thing that I had to do was get rid of the factory AM/FM radio and put in a CD player and a system, which was all fine and dandy until a couple of buddies of mine from school laughed at me and told me that it was just a neon and it would never be cool. Now im not the type of person to get mad at stupid comments like that but it did make me what to show them that they were wrong, and not by just showing them pictures of Neons that everybody else had done up but to show them in person that a Neon could be made into something "cool". From there on out I was on a mission to customize my Neon (on a HS students budget, damn near nothing, lol). I started searching online for "customized Dodge Neon pics" and soon found the heaven that is Cardomain.com. After I realised what I wanted to do to the Neon I started saving up money from my summer job so that I could start working on the Neon when I went back to school.
Fall 2002
With school starting, the money I saved from the summer job, and enrolling in the Collision Refinishing course offered through my HS at the local Career Center, I was ready to start working on my Neon. During the summer I had pick up a set of Berette GTZ wheels and installed them on the Neon so the process had begun. After a couple of weeks went by I started to do what I thought at the time was "serious customization".
I began with a "custom" spray paint flame job, shaving the side molding on the car....

Tinted the windows...

Lowered the car on some EBay coilovers...

Then I decided to really lower the car but had to sell the rims because they rubbed bad...

Custom made a CAI...

Removed the rear seats and installed a false floor...

And finally install a 2002 R/T spoiler, install a tach, and custom paint the interior.
