this is my tutorial on how to modify a 2nd gen rstb for use in a 1g mx6, the rear modification is a lot easier than the modding of the front brackets.

Step 1: remove carpeting

Step 2: Modify Brackets to fit strut towers, you must make one of the holes longer and then drill another hole to bolt in on out strut towers, This is the bracket after i pre-drilled for the larger bit to fit over the studs.

the finished bracket looks like this.

Step 3: Modify 2nd bracket to mirror the 1st bracket.

Step 4: unbolt the 2 bolts on the strut tower, and bolt in your new bracket.

Step 5: During re-assembly cut 2 slits into the carpet to allow the bracket to go through it, this picture is with 1 slit in it, after the picture i cut the 2nd. when the 2nd slit is cut simply roll the cut carpet behind the rest of the carpeting.

Step 6: bolt in your strut bar.

Hey Dave. I'll add you to my kill list when I get my car back. Just playing with you, but we will have to run one night. I can't believe that you said Holly should win the Import Faceoff. Thanks man!

thats pretty cool, man, ill give you credit, you got some style there. sleepers are the best way to go in my book, i drive a sleeper myself, tho at right now shes only still stock power. but i still toast pleanty o cars. the great thing about sleepers is they never expect it. so long live the sleeper crowd! drop em a line sometime
