This is a 1975 Ford Elite, a Torino variant designed to be a more luxerious sports car. I found this car in a hayfield, as shown in the photo, and bought it for $400. It has a 460 cubic inch engine (that's 7.5 liters for you metric fans) but is surprisingly low-optioned for coming with the big motor. In the coming months, it will be transformed from a smog-era beater to a beautiful example of both 70's style and muscle car power!

Nice site! I've got a 76 Lincoln with the same powerplant as your Ford. Check it out. Let me know whatever mods and products you use with success - I'm kinda in the dark as of now.

Hi Ryan, Thanks for the thumbs up on the website; my time is very limited but will definitely check it out when I can.

I love a $400 car, I'm looking up some now on classiccartrader. Was this a luxury version of the T-Bird? Just found a $2000 Dogge Charger, that what I'm about to look up on CD now, tho I really want a 60s Deville..

The Elite was based on the Torino, not the T-bird, but it was meant to bring "thunderbird luxery" to the midsize Torino.
