summer mods are on their way!!!
they include:
"Swiss cheese" the air box
new engine cover and paint it
new ECU and AMS chip
Magnaflow catback exhaust
some coilovers (undecided so far, either H&R, Blisten, or Patec)
window tint
cloth seats (because those black leather with black exterior are HOTTTT)
next summer's mods
BIG OL FUCKIN TURBO
new rods, cams, and pistons also maybe a 24V head if i can find one for a MKIII VR VW (they make it so hard for MKIII guys)
repaint the body
Well I've gotten a few things done since I've last updated....
First was the AMS chip and an ECU from a 97 VR6T GTI that I got for only $50... that did a few things, besides from giving me about 10+ HP it increased the torque, made things alot more responsive, and also took care of my Evap Emission Control BS that I would get probably once a week. Thanks to Jeff Oswalt for the awesome deal on the chip, oil, and help.
Next came the Magnaflow Catback exhaust. I got this for only $150 and it came off of a 96 VR6T Jetta (I have a trend going don't I). This was a really easy install and sounds awesome. I highly reccomend the Magnaflow for ANY VW VR6. Thanks Carl Whims for the hook up on this.
After I put the exhaust on I wanted even more throaty sound so I decided to cut up my air box (Jeff who sold me the chip gave me the one out of his GTI because he had a cone in his) so I went and cut the piss out of the old air box... Half of it is porobably gone now lol. The old one will be going back on shortly though for winter.
Most likely the last thing I've done before winter wasn't anything big. I mean I only bought some $1200 H&R coil over's from Auto Assets (www.AutoAssets.com), they had the cheapets price around (In all of Ohio, Penn, Michigan, IN, KY, NY) So I went ahead and bought them, and put them on my car the same week, man they are hottttt. I havn't found a good spot to keep them at yet. They will be lowered alot more for some pictures and the DubDash (weekend of Oct 8) and then I'll probably raise them to as high as they will go and go "4x4" style with another friend with an MKIII Jetta that has coilovers. It'll be hot! Once I get the car cleand up I'll surely take some pictures and post them up!
