This is a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. 605 Horsepower, 5.7L V10. This car, body and chassis, is completely carbon fiber. It will hit 60 in about 3.6 seconds, and tops out at 205. The wheels are forged magnesium, 19" up front and 20" in back. The brakes are 15" carbon ceramic rotors with 6-piston calipers. If you put this car on an air-craft carrier, it could accelerate from 0-100 and then brake back down the 0 again before driving off the end. That is serious.
If nothing else, the sound is worth the price of admission (which is $448,300 by the way). It sounds like an F1, though a little deeper. It wails and shrieks, and revs so fast a slight nudge of the throttle will bring it up to 5k rpm. Simply put, the car is incredible. And oh yeah, I've driven it. On the road! I had driven a few of them in the parking lot, but I got to drive one to the gas station and fill it up! It was probably about 2 miles, in traffic, so I didn't get to go fast or anything, but it was still awesome! Everybody was staring, and waving, and there were a couple kids in a red civic, when I drove by them their jaws just dropped! It was sweet, I felt like a superhero.
