Where to start, It's a Beautiful Dodge Aries LE, Luxury Edition and it was recently purchased for 100 bones and shortly after recieved a face lift. It now resembles a ferarri but surpasses the 360 modena's performance. Kinda hard to believe someone let her go for 100 dollars.

Ferrari meets performance The Mods began with the M3 Mirrors with led blinkers. These gave teh car an agressive european look will adding 5 hp per mirror.

The second mod was the Giant 5" Tach. It's a Monster Gauge and it's frozen at 6 grand. Being the engine rarely has a chance to fall below that it's accurate most of the time.

The third mod was the cold air intake, this was quite easy and brought some serious gains at the dyno. Before the intake the car was peaking at 102hp and after it was 130hp. Performance

The fourth mod was the Hood scoop. This was the most important upgrade because not only didn it bring that european look it gave the car over 50hp more and made the car extremely happy. Long story short the horn stop working after the cars first wash and didn't work untill the hood scoop was put on. The car was so happy about the hood scoop the horn started working.

The next couple of mods were just to gain that last little bit of perfomance required from the 2.2L to get our 0-60 time below 13 seconds.

New lightweight racing carpet was put over the stock carpet to take a couple pounds off.

An American Flag was taped on to the roof for the troops departing in air to see the support we had and to give that extra 10 hp an american muscle car gets from displaying pride. Performance holes were placed though out the muffler to relase some of that back presure created in such a giant engine and give us a noce sound. That mod gave us another 20 hp and a real noticably difference. This was the point at which this bad boy had enough power to break tread on the bald tires that are the equivelent of slicks.

It's hard to make out but the belt that runs the power steering pumo is missing and that is for performance reasons. After some extreme off roading we hit a few things and tore a couple license plates off and our power steering pumo started to scream the fluid was running out as fast as we were ending it and thats when it hit us that it was robbing us of 15hp and we carefully removed the belt with a pair of gardening shears. After this mod the car started hitting 50mph in first gear and that is no joke.

Basically it's the nicest car we've ever seen and certainly ever driven and well if you ever wanna race were in
Bellingham and bring your pink slip.

seriously i dont see how you can possibly get over 300 hp out of a 2.2 my car has a 2.6 and its still not the best at power and there cant be a possible way of getting 5 hp per mirror you put on or 50 horsepower just for a hoodscoop that isnt for ram air or something and another thing punching holes in the muffelor doesnt give you 20 hp more and 50 mph in first gear isnt that big of deal my car hits 60 in first and its stock so i think you should rethink your calculations on horsepower and think a little more next time

You know, I have been racking my brain thinking of ways to squeeze 300hp out of a N/A TBI 2.2 engine!! I thought I was going in the right direction with my 2.2 Turbo engine, but man you have all the answers!! I think if you add some performance stickers to the windows, that could add about 20 more horsepower!! ..lol....
come check out my daytona some time
