Sanding the primer
We used a product called "slick-sand" for the primer/sealer. Its great for filling in defects and leveling the surface. This was not really needed, but I wanted a sheet of liquid black glass when its done, and this helps to make it happen. It goes on heavy. So there is lots of sanding to do afterwards! After priming, a light coat of paint called a "mist" of "guide" coat is applied. I messed up and didn't get a good picture of it. Anyway, then its sanded off, by hand, along with the primer a little bit at a time. Once around the ENTIRE car with 220 grit sandpaper, then 360 grit, and finally 400 grit. 3 complete trips around it. Sanding progressivly until its smooth as glass. I estimate that I spent about 30 hours doing this....
And I thought the hard part was over !!! Blahhh...
