Here are some photos of the aftermath of my motorcycle accident with a black bear. The whole reason this happened was because I wanted to take one last ride on the motorcycle before I left for college later that day. Well, I was finishing up my ride and heading towards my house on the road pictured below. I was power shifting off the stop sign and had it up to around 65-70 when I saw the bear to the left of me and I knew it would be crossing the road soon. So, I jammed on the rear brakes first, then went into my fronts, did a side skid for a moment then got it going straight again, and the next thing I knew I had hit it right in front of its rear legs. The only thing I could see wrong with the bike after that instant hit was my left rear-view mirror had been bent backwards upon impact. The rest of the bike held up amazingly, considering I had just hit a damn black bear on a motorcycle at around 55-60 mph! Fortunately, I didn't drop the bike at all, but I did mess up the front forks and the rear tire is trashed from that huge skid. I'll try to get some photos of the motorcycle after winter is over and it's out of storage.

I realize it's hard to see where the bear landed after impact in these pics, but it's the best I could do. The bear was off to the side of the woods when we first went back to check it out, but by the time I took these photos it wasn't in sight anymore. To give you an idea of its size, the photo with the drawn in circle around it (perpendicular to the road) was about the width of my car.

That Challenger will be a very nice car when you get it together! I love plum crazy! It's the manliest purple there is...hell, I'd even rock any Mopar with panther pink...as long as it's a true Mopar color :) Keep up the sweet work!
