Update:

For the past 4-5 weeks, I have been hearing this noise coming from the back. At first I thought it was the transmission starting to fail. Then later, I realized it could be the rear disc brakes. The engine light is also on which a $200 censor will fix that. Disc brakes would cost me about $500+ to repair and the car's only worth a few grand so it's not really worth it to spend the money. :( So, in the upcoming weeks, I will be trading it in for perhaps a Rabbit/Golf/Sentra/Mazda 3/Civic. I'm hoping for a 2008 4 door VW Rabbit

My 1999 Nissan Maxima SE 4sp auto.

It is fully loaded including:
-Bose 200 Watt 6 speaker CD audio system - I can make my rear window vibrate.
-Deluxe Seating Package
-Leather Trim Package - It's like sitting on ice in the winter! and like getting into a pizza oven during the summer.
-Power Glass moonroof
-Security & Convienence Package
-Traction Control w/ABS

Recent Updates:

3/23/09

I have a huge feeling that I will be getting a new car this summer because of the following reasons:

1. Gas mileage has gotten as low as 10-15mpg.

2. There's now a noise coming from the transmission when accelerating from a standing still.

3. It'll be 10 years old in July/August time.

Old news/updates:

I hit 100,000 on December 24th.
Over the past 2 months or so, I've been putting money into this car with new front tires and the TCS/ABS lights were on for a while so I took it into the dealership to where my parents bought it to get them working again. From that, about 4 days ago, I pulled onto Rte 66 and the same wheel that the dealership did work on, a bolt had came lose or broke. I first thought it was the transmission since it would not go forwards but it would go in reverse. I was afraid during those 24 hours of thinking what it could be, that I'd have to give the car up due to a busted transmission but thankfully and luckily, it didn't!

When I've filled up, I've been getting lower numbers than what it says. 21/28. It achieved 21 on the 6th of February, and today it got 18 mpg. I drive 40 miles a day 4 days a week. The engine light is on and I can hear a faint rattle from the rear of the car (possibly exhaust/muffler). Anyone got any ideas of what it could be? Current mileage is 100,660.
