A little History
This is my car, a '76 Chevy Vega.
buy it in March 2004 worth $ 592.00.
My girlfriend gave him the name of "La Iguana Racing" because it has a Stiker in the rear window of an iguana.
I must say the chevy was not in good condition, the engine was not very good, the upholstery was damaged and parts had no carpet floor.
Water seeped under the dash panels, that lump-sum that the carpet was wet floor and broke.
the car had no radio, no speakers had.
the steering wheel had no horn.
and finally the painting is still in bad condition.
In November 2005, after diagnosis by the mechanic to look over the parts, in December began the search for parts to restore the engine, which were hard to find, I took eleven months to find the pistons and valves with respective seals, valve guides were made in bronze, as well as bushings cams.
After eleven months of searching for parts, he received a call from a mechanic shop, they had the pistons and rings.
in October 2006 after the search of spare parts, the engine was given to me. The block was restored as standard.
In January 2007 the engine was put back in the chevy. on January 30, 2007 turn the key and hear the engine at 100% after almost a year of being stranded.
The engine is original, 140 CID or 2295cc
five-speed manual gearbox
