sorry about this being the only pick ill get more up later. this is my new truck. just bought it couple days ago. the interior is dirty and practicaly in pieces. i figured instead of cleaning it and trying to figure out where everything is ill just take it out and put a new on in. i need some help on the decision so please do the poll. the front left rim is covered in rust from rotar being warn all the way down and the rust from it just stuck to it. i want to try and save the rim. if anyone knows of anything that might save it please tell me. i rather not spend the time look for a new set of rims or replacing it singally. all of its speakers are not put in yet since i have to wire the entire thing from when it was mugged of its system and wires. there isnt any rust on this truck. the bed wa taken off and the entire undercarriage redone. the body has been shaved, so it doesnt have exterior door handles. a magnetic door opener was installed and its the coolest thing ever to do to people when they are standing to close to your truck. you just press the button on your key chain and it pops open and smacks them. then you can walk over and say sorry she doesnt like it when people she doesnt know get too close. the exhaust stops right after the cab. im not too big of a fan of this so im extending it and putting on a nice flowmaster exhaust when i get the money, but thats of course after i let it pass e-check with a standard exhaust. the engine has no done to it. just a basic 2.5 4-cylinder with some pickup since the truck is so light. the hood was replaced with a hood that has a reverse hood scoupe. im not sure what kind of hood it is. the guy i bought from has yet to tell me what kind of hood it is. the truck runs awesome overall.
this thing is street legal.people say that it kinda looks like a spider going down the road but i dont know. so i guess its nickname is spider. everything on the dunebuggy is from a shop around akron ohio called La Products. only the engine, steering wheel, axels, and transmission are original. its a little 4 cylinder that is great for town, but not for highway. this spring sometime my dad and i are putting new and bigger jugs and pistons in the engine. the rings on the pistons will expand to the jugs and compress more allowing it to keep up easily with highway traffic. right now its max speed is about 60-65. we are hoping for 80-85 along with other small fixes we do along the way.
when riding in this buggy you can touch the ground while in your seat. not that ive done it while moving or anything... anyways you sit about 1ft-1.5ft off the ground and as you can see not much is between you and the ground. only a sheet of diamond plating and some support bars.
