Cars I have owned:

1. 1986 Chevy Cavalier Z24 coupe with 2.8 and 4 speed manual. 194000 miles and bought it for $200 in May 1998 from my Aunt who bought it brand new in mid 1986. The car was Charcoal with light grey interior. It was fast. It, being a typical GM, began to rust out so gas and brake lines were leaking and then the rear brakes went and the clutch had to be pushed all the way to the floor and would still grind gears. The digital dash failed the first 6 months of ownership, then at 2 yrs. and again at 7, at 10 and was beginning to go out again but I was not to fix it, the radio would work intermittently also. I sold it in April 1999 for $150, was not hat bad of a car, I heard that the person who had bought it used it for parts, which is is sad in my book.

2. 1989 Dodge Shadow sedan with a 2.2 and GETRAG 5 speed manual, was white with black trim. 156000 miles and bought it from a guy at my parents' work in December 1999 who had bought it new in 1989. Car had AC, sunroof, spoiler, cassette with Alanis Morisette stuck in it, not that bad, could have been Jackson. The car also had full gauges. The car had all motor mounts broke and half-ass welded back together, which bent the drive-shafts and warped the wheel bearings, and threw the alignment off. The Shadow or Sad-Ho had rust on doors but the interior was comfortable and even if it had 93 horses, it felt ballsier than that! One day in May 2000 it seemed worse than ever, overheating, not head gasket, had been replaced 40K before, and it seemed to always stall. The car began stalling in the middle of winter all the time and always had to pop the clutch to start it. My Dad and Sister went into IGA+ to shop and I left the car running and revving at 1500 rpm until a man told me I had a river of coolant running down the parking lot, so I shut it off. Big mistake that was. When my folks came out, it would not start. So we did the routine for the hundredth time, I push and Dad pops it. Oh, we popped it all right, the passenger side weakened bent shaft snapped when the car was started, so we had to park it with a VCR under the tire to stop the car from rolling. The next day we gave the car to my neighbor, a retard punk teenager. We had just done the brakes, front and rear on it but we also got pissed and slammed the pass. front door and shattered the window. So the neighbor fixed the shaft and put new shocks and struts in it, and the window. A week later I saw the driver window with a bag taped to it, hehe. Then the last time I saw it, morons were painting the aluminum factory rims with 205/60/ 14's white with HOUSE PAINT AND A PAINT BRUSH! Then a few months later the dumb-ass came over threatening to sue us because the brakes failed and he smashed into a ditch the brakes did not fail he just sucks at driving. The farmer who pulled the idiot out wrapped the chain around the trailing beam AXLE and ripped the whole ass-end out of the car, R.I.P. Shadow.

3. 1991 Plymouth Acclaim LX, feature of this page.

4. 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix LE

5. Dodge Spirit sedan with V6 3 speed automatic, it is blue with a red and white stripe. It had 103055 mi. when I got it, now has 111875 mi. and still kickin. Even if the exhaust half fell off as well as 2 mud flaps, a hubcap, plastic cowl piece, and a snow shield, as well as the serpentine belt 3 times. It does not slip the transmission and the engine runs, not smoothly, but does. Come to thing of it, the engine does buck from time to time, maybe the timing belt is ready to go! Oh shit, too bad though, I have only put $10 into this $50 car and that will be all.

6. 1991 Plymouth Acclaim LX in White with a purple-looking stripe. $100 after it was abandoned on the side of the road and towed to a repair shop and never claimed. The previous owner had someone, probably inexperienced, replace the entire distributor, the old one was in the trunk wires, gears and all! Maybe the timing became off on that as well. The previous owner complained that the motor bucked and missed and sputtered and that there was also no heat, HEY GOOD ENOUGH FOR A PARTS CAR!

hey man whats up your acclaim looks excellent! you are totally right about it being loaded. i know what you mean about not wanting to drive it in the snow, i'm that way about my '75 valiant. i liked all the details and stories on your page. i drive my evil spirit in the winter cuz it goes like a tank in the snow, much like your acclaim. my spirit is totally unloaded lol come check it out and REALLY be happy about all the options you have. mine has manual locks, seats, mirrors, windows, gas door and trunk. it has a little storage space in the dash instead of a message center/trip counter, and has no tach cluster or overdrive. it's the 2.5L 4 cyl. but it does have cruise and rear defrost and it came with a cassette player. let me know what ya think! take care and keep me posted on those new pics from springtime.

Brian! My name is also Brian! The weird thing about this is that I have a 1991 Plymouth Acclaim, which is identical to yours! Including colour and snowy background! Curious, I had a problem with stalling (fixed), but now the transmission is downshifting and upshifting whenever it wants to. Seems to only happen when tranny is cold. Wonder if you had same issue? Totally weirded out by 2 Brians with identical cars!!
