1990 Lexus ES250

This car was built in JAPAN in Sept. 1989 and was bought in Pittsburg and put on the road in October '89. It is black with grey leather, power seats, moonroof, and 6 disc changer in the trunk. It's a Lexus, it has everything. The most important feature is the 2VZ-FE under the hood with 156 horses ripping through a 5 SPEED MANUAL transmission. THINK ABOUT IT, THEY MADE LIKE 20 OF THESE! A STICK LEXUS, A STIXUS IF YOU WILL! This car is very nice, 144000 miles, but 5 days after I took ownership of it, the clutch began to slip hardcore and the front brakes are totally gone. The only real reason I keep it is because it is pretty and has a nice interior and handles well.

I will keep you posted and will put tons of pics up as soon as I can!

MAY 26 UPDATE: This is THE biggest piece of shit I have ever had the privelege to drive! The clutch is shot as is the Master Cylinder, and the E-brake, and now, A VALVE ON THE FRONT BANK OF CYLINDERS IS BROKE AND FLYING AROUND IN THE CYLIDER! HEHEHEHEHE, gonna sell it and run.

hey man whats up your acclaim looks excellent! you are totally right about it being loaded. i know what you mean about not wanting to drive it in the snow, i'm that way about my '75 valiant. i liked all the details and stories on your page. i drive my evil spirit in the winter cuz it goes like a tank in the snow, much like your acclaim. my spirit is totally unloaded lol come check it out and REALLY be happy about all the options you have. mine has manual locks, seats, mirrors, windows, gas door and trunk. it has a little storage space in the dash instead of a message center/trip counter, and has no tach cluster or overdrive. it's the 2.5L 4 cyl. but it does have cruise and rear defrost and it came with a cassette player. let me know what ya think! take care and keep me posted on those new pics from springtime.

Brian! My name is also Brian! The weird thing about this is that I have a 1991 Plymouth Acclaim, which is identical to yours! Including colour and snowy background! Curious, I had a problem with stalling (fixed), but now the transmission is downshifting and upshifting whenever it wants to. Seems to only happen when tranny is cold. Wonder if you had same issue? Totally weirded out by 2 Brians with identical cars!!
