This is technically my fourth car a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix LE coupe with a 3.1 and 5 speed GETRAG manual. It is Black with red striping, SE sport package and grey interior. Bought it off my friends Dad in April 2003 for $100 not running, thought the clutch was totally shot. This car was bought at Carbone Pontiac Nissan at 959 W Hiawatha Blvd, Syracuse, NY on March 20, 1990 but lived most of its life in Tennessee until spring 2000 when it was bought by my friends grandpa which in turn gave it to his son, who sold it to me. The original window sticker is in the glove box. It has 149532 miles (240600 km for our neighbors to the North) on it and we have no idea what the hell is wrong with it. The clutch slave cylinder is visibly broken and needs replacement but other than that, no idea. I am going to buy a battery, slave for it, fix the slave put the hydraulic fluid in it and see what happens! The car has the 15 alloys, red striping, fog lights and no rust on the bottom of the car, gas tank and exhaust looks new, but isnt. This goes to show this car has only seen 2 NY winters. There are some minor nicks in the headliner and that is it. It has been taken care of. I have had this car sitting in my yard for 2 years, moving it around, the brakes are nearly new and has new tires and rear struts. It has numerous dings, a dent and some peeling paint, and not to mention one morning I woke up and there was a dozen eggs on it, that was nice, I spread the word, I dont care, it needs a paint job anyway." The only major, yet still minor, rust on it is on the driver quarter panel near the bottom, which I have seen on 2001 Grand Ams! This car is great. My friend Kevin said that the car ran before they parked it for the winter and in the spring, would not start. My Dad and I tried in vain to jump it but the starter would only click. If this car only needed a $45 slave and a $35 battery and sat in my yard for 2 years, I am going to be pissed! It is a sweet ride. My dad does not really like newer cars, he is all Big Block, but he said he loves the Grand Prix, I told him that when it runs, he can be the first to drive it. I have been in it when my friends Dad burned out across an entire intersection with 3 people in it, and got rubber, not chirped, got rubber into 2nd gear! This car is gorgeous and I will keep you all posted.
It has power nothing, which is good for a GM, less shit to break, and full gauges. This car has rear defrost, 4 wheel disc brakes and FE1 suspension. It was very comfortable for the 1.3 mile tow home. It is stylish and black and sleek and could, without a doubt, peg its 120 mph speedo!
I seriously will kick myself in the ass if it were less than $100 in parts! No lie. If it is, I will have my friend Art go through the whole car to see if anything and everything needs replacement.
The only thing on this car that does not work is the E-BRAKE, I could care less if it were the e-brake, but if it needs replacing for inspection, why not?
Common Problems on Grand Prix models:
Faulty E-Brakes, which can be as simple as oiling the unit.
Faulty Brakes, which if kept up on are not that bad.
Faulty Struts, they get sloppy pretty quick.
I am lucky, the only thing seriously wrong with my Grand Prix is the paint and some little bit of rust and door dings. My e-brake does not work, but it is a very easy fix!

Give me a few days when I have more time to do this! It does have a factory 3.1 and Getrag 282 5 speed.
