EXTERIOR
Here are some before and after pics of the paint and body work. I'm a big fan of the original look these cars had and wanted to keep something traditional, but still give the color a little more pop than the factory correct blue for the era.
The roof has since started peeling and an accident left damge on both front fenders and the hood. The frame has been straightened, new passenger side fender, and ect. Its back driveable and other than the passenger fender being a slightly different color due to a hasty and free repair, and the chipped paint on the hood and driver fender it looks ok from 20 feet away. :(
Repaint will be the same color code but mixed properly so it is a true blue like most of the pics show without the purple look it gets in certain light. I'm debating doing airbrushed emblems as well.
Paint: PPG base/clear 1996 Dark Cloisonne Metallic (Corvette blue) w/ Alpine White SS stripes.
Trim: Stock stainless and chrome.
Wheels: Western Slotted Mags. Wheels are vintage and likely older than the car (lots of elbow grease was needed to make them shine again).
Tires: Front are 225/70/14 BFGs, rear are 295/50/15 Toyo Proxes S/T
