MY DREAM CAR

ekbeanctr's 1965 Ford Mustang

This car is now for sale - Time for me to retire email me at ekbeanctr@hotmail if interested
Notice the custom rear valance flared around fuel cell, 2 1/2" exhaust coming through the rear valance, and the P255ZR40 17" Road Racing Tires.
The switch beside the right tail light is the shut off for the Optima Battery mounted in the trunk

ekbeanctr's 1965 Ford MustangI added a 2 1/2" fiberglass cowl hood to the car, so that I had room for the 408W motor with an Edelbrock aluminum manifold. It also has the racing style lower valance to help air get into the aluminum radiator and keep the beast cooled down.
The front suspension is Global West Racing Suspension with Tubular upper and lower control arms, racing coil springs and adjustable strut rods. The front sway bar is 1 1/8" for added control while cornering with Koni Gas adjustable shocks on all 4 corners. The car also has welded in sub-frame connectors and a roll bar to help stiffen the frame.
For stopping power the car has SSBC discs on the front and a Lincoln Versaille 9" rear end with discs on the back with a Wilwood dual master cylinder and a Hurst Line Loc plumbed in.
The wheels are 8" x 17" Cragar SS's on the front and 9" x 17"'s on the rear to maximize the size of the tires that I could get on the car. Both front and rear fender lips are rolled so that the tires don't rub.
