I got this SUV around 5 years ago and for awhile was in confusion of what to do with it. For the longest time I was convinced I was going to put rims on it and a nice video system inside. However, I did not like any of the looks I saw for the rims on my Passport and made the best decision to abandon the idea of huge expensive wheels. I then decided that I hated the snow and to show my hatred I would make my Passport an off-roading machine. However, since I am on a college kid’s budget everything I do is done by me with mostly second hand parts. But hey, you sure do learn a lot!
Almost everything on my Passport is custom created since it is almost impossible to find off-roading parts for the Passport/Rodeo without winning the lottery. I got the brush guard for cheap off of ebay and that went on nice and easy. Since a Yakima rack is around $300-$400 the Roof Rack you see was a $20 ebay purchase which I ripped apart and used the metal to create my own design which I like 100x more than how it was suppose to be used. I threw on the shovel and tube to help with the off-road look and provide some great functionality (been spending too much time looking at land rovers).
