Intro
Here is my 1981 BMW 320is e21 body style. My Dad purchased this car used in 1983 from an auto salvage yard. It was a theft recovery and most of the sport parts were taken. Over the years most were reacquired. Car served family with many years of reliable and fun service. Car was set aside in 1994 when a 1988 BMW 528e took its place as the daily driver. The 320is was parked in the front drive way under a car cover and developed more rust than it previously had. Restoration started in 2002 and progressed slowly but surely. Originally we were just going to patch some rust spots and fix the floor but we did quite a bit more than that.
