My car has been sold. I really lost a lot more money than I wanted to. My dreams are shattered and this is my second Mercedes that I have lost. The first one was completely restored and driving the streets of Darmstadt thanks to a lowlife Mercedes dealership.
This is my 1951 Daimler-Benz 220. It doesn't look like much yet, but I have seen a few completely restored cars. I wanted to do mine factory, but decided that I want a custom paint, and may as well do shaved handles, and probably a different engine as well.
Surprise, there are no places that the car is rusted all the way through. The door sheets have seperated a little though.
She has a nice profile, and will look awesome when completed.
What a babe. You will really have to wonder what is coming in your rear view mirror.
Top speed in this '51 was only about 90MPH, but at the time she got about 20 MPG.
