HID Projector RetrofitI bought some aftermarket headlights which already had halogen projectors in them, since I figured this would make the retrofit easier. I also bought a pair of Valeo HID projectors (OEM on Audi and some others), a pair of Hella gen 3 ballasts, and a pair of Philips 5000K D2S bulbs. As a note, if you plan to retro, go with OEM parts. Its easier to replace individual parts if something burns out in the future.I didn't take too many pictures during the actual headlight modification, but here are the ones I did take.On to the actual install... the entire front bumper cover needs to come off to get the headlights out and back in.This pic shows a nice view of the normally hidden AEM V2 CAI Filter. Here's a pic of the ECE beam pattern. It's not very noticable since the car is only 1 or 2 feet from the wall. At 20-30 feet the ECE pattern is much more noticable. Some pics after getting the bumper cover back on.Some nighttime shots of the parking lights, halos, and leds. Some shots of the Valeo projectors. They didn't turn out all that great. The second pic I was trying to get the camera in the spot where the driver side light was fully inside the cutoff region while the passenger side was on the fringe of the cutoff (the blueish band). You can kinda see the difference in color... but not like in person.
