M4NIC's 1988 Lada Niva

Hi guys! Im new here so I would like to congrat cardomain for its excellent site!
Anw my ride is a Lada Niva, 1988, and its one of the few factory made convertables that are around. Apparently they are converted in a factory in Greece.
The car was majorly modified by its previous owner, where he changed the paint job, suspension, steering wheel and a lot of other things. I think Ill stick to the tradition and add a few things myself.
Enjoy.

Update! More pics added! check the other pages

Im currently in the UK for studies, so the Niva is on Holiday.. I am working on finding certain parts though that are difficult to find in Cyprus. Nice one on the underbody protection!

Any updates on work done? I've got a new snorkel, and hoping to get it lifted, and put underbody protection on. Still looking into the rollcage too....

The bars are unfortunately welded on the body, which is a serious no-no. Im planning of installing a proper rollcage, or to reinforce the current one. Better go to a specialist to see it and give you an estimate of what can be done as a rollcage that isnt properly built is dangerous.

Can you take some pics of the bar mounts? I want to cut the roof off mine, just the back so my mates can shoot. :)

No proper engine mods (its my only car man I cant risk it) although the carby is from a Riva and the fuel filter is changed. I will also change the air filter of the carby in the future. No I didnt by that one at the end, because even for parts the condition was dreadful. I got another one instead, will try to post some pics of it. Peace out ;]
