This is our 2004 Chevy SSR that has 300hp and goes 0-60mph in under 6 seconds which is pretty fast for a truck if that is what you want to call it. All i know is that it goes over 100mph becasue my dad got a ticket and it said he was going 102mph. It is pretty much my dads daily driver so if you live in yuba city youve prabally seen it quite a bit. Thanks for looking.

Most American cars have "rev limiters" that limit their speed to 115 mph. You should look into reprogramming your car's computer chip or purchasing a "super chip" that would eliminate the shut-off point or at least increase it to a higher speed. Your Chevy dealership is not likely to do this for you, however. Nice truck, by the way.

Hey your right... they do go over 100... on a test drive before we got ours my dad let me behind the wheel and it was in massachuessetts and i just got my licesnse and it had a 6 month probation thing where you couldnt drive out of state and you couldnt be out past nine pm and couldnt drive and have more than 2 passengers... well... we go over into mass over at a dealer ship that had 6 of em. We took one out and we went down this road. my dad was driving of course and we went down the highway a bit he stood on it and got it to 80. we pulled into a golf course/country club and switched drivers. I got back on the highway and before i did. i turned the traction control button off. Its the one that has a pic of the rear end and says T/C well i turned it off cuz i allready knew the thing and had it figured out in like 2 minutes. well anyways. i got on it and the speed limit was like 45 on this stretch of road and it says 45 MPH SPEED ZONE well that didnt bother me none so I stood on it cuz it was straight for a long ways and i had it chirp the tires each time it shifted and i had it up on 115 before i backed off. My dad had both hands on the dash screamin SLOW IT DOWN BILLY! well.... anyways.. good luck with your truck and have fun... if you get to drive it... dont be afraid to step on it especially if theres a civic or something next to you at a light. Peace
